HUD Plaza Repairs
Project Description: SEG was contracted to perform the construction of concrete repairs and waterproofing of the HUD Building’s West Plaza and Indoor Loading Dock. The work included removing and reinstalling 6,000 SF of blue stone paving, over 5,000 SF concrete repairs and 16,000 SF of waterproofing. The entire loading dock and ramps received traffic coating. To maintain loading dock operations during construction, over 18 phases of construction were planned out. Our in-house concrete repair crews performed the majority of the demolition work and concrete repairs, crack injections, and new concrete pours, as well as caulking and sealant applications. SEG’s project management team overcame multiple logistical challenges, especially means and methods, during the construction.
